The path towards the creation of an object of Identity Craft is the implementation of a research method that I conceived and developed into a structured model I follow, with the aim of exploring and representing my client’s identity in a material (not virtual) object I call an Identity Craft Object.
Everything is made possible through a thorough process of translation of the stories that arise from memories, emotions and feelings that my client shares with me during the listening phase.
Starting from that which I call the Object of Connection—that the client chooses and does not necessarily have to exist physically—I can create an object that is both specific and unique because it is linked to the identity story of my client and is therefore an expression of their experience. This is the object of Identity Craft.
Identity Craft objects have the aim of stirring emotions and reflections, creating the opportunity to enter a relationship with parts of ourselves. All this functions for us to truly live, both in tangible spaces that we call home as well as the intangible spaces inside of ourselves.
How it works
We organize a series of meetings (in person or online) for me to listen to your story. (Please do note that I am not a native English speaker, hence I will ask your permission to record our sessions, so that I could go back to them later and avoid missing important pieces!) You will need to take a deep dive into your inner reality and decide on one or two objects that you feel have a significant connection to your life story. Think, for example, of an object that was part of your childhood, that belonged to an important person to you, that evokes a particular memory for you, a feeling. This will be your Object of Connection.
It doesn’t matter if the Object of Connection exists in the present or only in your memory: what counts is the connection you feel.
Once the Object of Connection has been identified, we will continue on the path of listening. It is on this that I will base the creation of your object of Identity Craft.
I will take note of everything you want to tell me and feel like sharing: memories, emotions, feelings.
Once we have completed the listening phase and have gathered everything you chose to share, I will begin the material creation of your object of Identity Craft.
It’s clear that Identity Craft is a true and signature path, and that to translate the intangible into something tangible requires time. Every client is different, the Objects of Connection are very different, so the creation of an object of Identity Craft is not a standardizable activity. From experience, I can say that the process can last a few months.
Your Identity Craft object will return to you transformed, together with a Spoken Letter that will help evoke a connection to your inner world.
