“With my work I restablish the central role of Living Spaces through the creation of objects through which we can enter into a relationship and create an intimate dialogue, as well as bond with parts of ourselves.”

Artist and designer Fatima Casalenuovo creates decorative objects for living spaces. Her emphasis is on creating a sense of belonging in these spaces in order to call them Home.
Exploring the themes of identity and belonging, she undertook research in the field related to objects that make up our spaces. Her path of study has led her to explore anthropology, philosophy, aesthetics and art history until she could redefine the concept of living spaces.
Within the conceptual framework of “living” she developed the concept of Artigianato Identitario (Identity Craft) as a way in which to explore identity.
The interdisciplinary approach that she created interweaves the world of design, craftsmanship and art, transmitting the identity of her clients through material objects (non-virtual). These are known as Identity Craft objects.
Throughout the years, alongside this project she has also created ready-made objects, with the brand Rekrei Made both in small collections and single pieces. Rekrei Made objects can also be made to order.
Keeping in mind the importance that objects and space can hold in story-telling, with Rekrei, Fatima turns spaces into places to Live.
